Background
Supplements are everywhere, but most people have no idea what works, what doesn't, or how to track it all. We wanted to change that by building something useful, simple, and actually smart. Something that didn't just log what you took, but helped you figure out if it's helping.
What We Did
We built SuppMate in 14 days—design, development, and launch. It's a mobile app that lets users log supplements, track how they feel, and get AI-powered suggestions for what to take based on their goals.
The entire product—from the content to the images to the protocols—was generated by our own internal AI agent. It scraped and organized supplement research, created visuals, wrote the app content, and built out protocols in bulk. It even powers a feature that lets users analyze their supplement stack and ask questions in real time, like chatting with a knowledgeable health coach.
The App
- Log supplements, vitamins, adaptogens, nootropics, etc.
- Track mood, sleep, focus, energy, and more
- Get AI-generated recommendations based on your goals and lifestyle
- Explore protocols for things like stress, testosterone, focus, gut health
- Chat with an AI assistant trained on everything in the app
You can download SuppMate on the App Store.
Tech We Used
- React Native (with Expo)
- Supabase (for backend)
- Contentful (for content)
- Our own custom internal AI agent (for content, images, chat, research)
- Superwall (for subscriptions)
What Happened
We launched the app on the App Store just 14 days after starting. People downloaded it, and it started making money on day one. The MVP is lean, smart, and already doing what it was meant to do—helping people understand their supplements better.
What We Learned
- AI can help you build fast, but only if you know exactly what you want
- Building everything with one tight internal system (design, dev, content) saves huge amounts of time
- Users like chatting with an AI that actually knows what it's talking about
- You don't need a huge team or budget to launch something useful—just speed, clarity, and a strong workflow
What's Next
We're improving the recommendation engine, adding more expert-level content, and working on partnerships to keep the app growing. It's a solid base with real traction—and a perfect example of what the Bandits approach can do.
